Our Story

In 2007, disillusioned with working for corporate, largely unprogressive law firms, charging inflated prices to support their city-based high rise offices and lifestyles,  Solicitor, Gillian Huthart founded a small practice with some friends – a small business with a social conscience working for small businesses with social consciences. Our team has changed and grown but our passion for providing quality cost-effective legal advice is as strong as ever.

We use innovative paperless technology to provide cost-effective, dynamic law solutions that anticipate and address complex challenges to create long-term benefit, not only financial but also social and environmental.

We are committed to “doing our bit” for our corporate social responsibility.

Gillian Huthart – Principal Solicitor

Gillian qualified as a solicitor in 1990. She has a wide range of area expertise and has practiced law for nearly thirty years both as a corporate in-house lawyer and in private practice, focusing on the business and personal needs of the local communities in Gateshead and Newcastle and the surrounding areas. A hard-working wife and mother of two, as well as running her own business, Gillian brings a wide range of life experiences to her work.

Her legal expertise includes advising local technology businesses on startup, formation, employment and contractual issues. advising charities, local authorities and health authorities on a variety of procurement, commercial and property matters; successfully contesting wills and challenging probate legacies for individual clients; successfully litigating in property boundary disputes, business disputes, employment and intellectual property matters.
